Your galena looks like it might contain a lot of silver in substitution for lead, which would explain the curved cleavage surfaces. Similar galena was once found in a silver mine in Pennsylvania not far from where I live.

Maybe, but this mine is a state Baryte mine and Galena is very low hoard and maybe not commodious for extract, I dont know....

You are right on John, about the curved galena cleavages reflecting the presence of silver in the galena lattice. The example is quite striking and should be considered a unique and valuable teaching specimen. The association with Baryte is not surprising. Peter is in transit, but will probably weigh in on this a little later.
