I saw this question posted on Mindat-FB page. Thought I'd get a definitive answer here. "Is it unusual - or even rare to have Apophyllite, Prehnite, Axinite, Diopside and Garnet in one paragenesis?". I would take that to mean, the same specimen.

Vic, all of those minerals occur at Belvidere Mountain (Eden Mills), VT.

Crestmore Quarry, Riverside, California also has them.

They also occur at Franklin, NJ, but, as far as I know, not together; this is not a common association.

My guess would be that the apophyllite and prehnite formed later than the axinite, diopside, and garnet, quite possibly in a second separate episode of mineralization. Any thoughts?
