the dealer only said it is from Peru.but such form is rare for me, so I wondered the loaction is worng or not.coz it looks like the Germany ones.

This habit sounds like coming from the Uchuc-Chacua mine, in Oyon, Lima, Peru. Just compare to this one https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=2549#2549 or search Mindat database.

Hi again, pro_duo!

If Uchuc-Chacua sounds Greek to you, it may be helpful to look at this map just to get some idea about where it exactly is https://carlesmillan.cat/min/Peru.png

well......when two words,Rhodochrosite and Peru, come together,Uchucchacua seems to be an only choice. but I did search around the mindat.org and saw all the pictures of those two keywords. it is about 45pages pictures! the bad news is no specimen smilar to mine, so the loaction could remian in doubt.the good news also is no specimen smilar to mine, so if my collection is from Uchucchacua, it should be an unique one.
anyway,Uchuc-Chacua doesn't sound Greek to me, Carles. coz I have one exactly from there.

This specimen was collected in Spring 2010.There is a difference between this and the Madagascaran one. This piece, the quartz itself is slight pink.the Madagascaran one is white.

Please, the inclusions are NOT lepidocrocite, they are hematite. I know that some dealers, even today, sell these as the former, but they are wrong. Please, please, please change your label and stop helping to perpetuate this myth.

Perhaps, I don't have any permission to edit the description, but I corrected the label of that specimen.

Here is one of my phantom collections, collected in Summer 2010.

Of course you can edit your own postings, and thank you for making that change. Your fluorite, by the way, is exquisite (lovely!). A great piece.

So what do I know? A little about minerals, virtually nothing about the mechanics of the Forum.

Don't worry, keep your "little about minerals" and we take care of the mechanics. Sounds like an excelent deal! ;-)

Some minerals' colours are not easy to take it in picture. a example is the "blue fluorite" form Blanchard Mine.
