Baryte
Frizington, Cumberland.
Classic minerals are always a lot of appeal. Perhaps nostalgia of another mineralogy, source of our knowledge...
Roger.

There a lot of so-called "classics" in my collection, so it is difficult to chose one. But i think this one will be a good sample for a classic mineral ...

I have rarely seen such a fine specimen of sulfur, with good proportions.

Hi,
San Benito, a fabulous locality for gems, but also for ideas.
Cyclosilicates 3-membered and 4-membered can be found: Benitoite and joaquinite-(Ce).
Another silicate (complex inosilicate) is neptunite.

Reminder, beryl is a cyclosilicate 6-membered.
Roger.

Formerly in the collection of Jean-Marie Pendeville, now in the collections of the “Museum d’Histoire Naturelle de Luxembourg – Natur Musee”, this beautiful crystal of carrollite, about 4-5 cm edge (according to my memory).
Exceptional specimen.
Roger.
