Can any one here help to put me in contact with some one who knows more about this amber that was found in Spain last year? is this amber going to be a commercial product or is the find only of scienctific importance. Any help please is greatly appreciacated.

The amber is currently under scientific study, it has certain interest fo paleoflora and paleoecology studies. Maybe in the future will be a limited samples available, but is hard to know.
On the other hand, there are certain disponibility of amber of the Reocin deposit, in Cantabria. It is sligthly younger but it has the same botanical origin and shares lot of characteristics

Thank you so much for your reply, is this amber from the locality Reocin deposit, in Cantabria on the open market? I went to the amber conference back in 1998 in Vitoria when they found the first example of Spanish amber, sadly lost touch with what was happening. Can you tell me which museum is doing the research? Any other information you may have. Very much appricated. I have attched a picture of what is apparently a new find of Spanish amber which has an amazing fluorecence.
