The " Santiño" Mine located in the Catalan area, Artigas- Uruguay, a famous place for producing the highest quality Amethysts are global benchmark ....

Friends of the Forum is not the repetition of a previous item, but is the confirmation that the " Santiño" Mine is one of the richest mines in the world Amethyst. We has found anither giant piece that at the moment we still can not accurately calculate its dimensions. Exposing`re trying to go as far as we can.

According to "Cato SANCHIS" Technical responsible owner, their measures may exceed 6 meters in length and 12.000 kg. weight.

Regards, Antonio

I really enjoyed seeing your dig pictures. I had some correspondence with a company named Artigas Minerals back in 2004. I was just amazed at the size and quality of the Amethyst Geodes they were pulling out of the mines. Here are a few of the pictures they have sent me at that time.
